A delicious tomato sauce in just a few minutes!

1. Ingredients needed:
- Tomatoes ( canned is quicker)
- Extra virgin olive oil
- Onion and garlic
- A rind of parmesan
- Fresh basil
- Salt and freshly ground pepper

2. Preparation of tomatoes:
- It all depends on the type of canned tomatoes you are using, you can use them as is or crush them slightly for a smoother texture.

3. Brown the onion and garlic:
- Heat a little olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat. Add the finely chopped onions and fry until they become translucent. Then add the crushed garlic and fry for another minute. This will add flavor to the sauce.

4. Add the tomatoes:
- Add the tomatoes to the pan with the onions and garlic. Season with salt, pepper and basil leaves. You can also add a pinch of sugar to balance the acidity of the tomatoes. Mix all the ingredients well.

5. Let simmer and reduce:
- Add a rind of parmesan cheese and reduce the heat to low and let the sauce simmer for about 30-40 minutes, stirring occasionally. This will allow the sauce to thicken and develop its flavors with the parmesan. If it becomes too thick, you can add a little water to adjust the consistency.
