Private import from Michele Portoghese in the Tuscany region of Italy

The company was founded in the 1970s, after years of research and systematic studies on typical Italian food products, their shapes, packaging, names and communication system. Over time, the company has grown without forgetting respect for processing methods, some of which are still entirely manual.

Ruote, from the special short pasta family, have a round, spoked shape with a ridged exterior reminiscent of a cart wheel. They can be enjoyed as dry pasta with tomato sauce, with or without meat, but they are also perfect with cream and zucchini or minestrone.
