The origin of “Gentile” dates back to 1876, taking its name from the property of the time: the Zampino family bought the brand in the 80s of the following century. Initially, the production of pasta, to which the pasta maker Natale Zampino has been dedicated since day one, was focused on "handmade fusilli", the famous format made with a frame and left to dry slowly before being used in the kitchen. Later, with the growth of the company, they dedicated themselves to other shapes of long and short pasta.
