All Granoro canned tomatoes, from peeled tomatoes to cherry tomatoes, from puree to rustic tomato pulp, are obtained from tomatoes grown in Italy, carefully selected and processed within hours of harvest. They retain the aromas and flavor of fresh tomatoes and have the simplicity and authenticity of home-made preserves.

Granoro Peeled Tomatoes, preserved in their own juice without additional ingredients, are fragrant, whole, easy to peel and naturally firm because they are free of calcium carbonate, often used in the food industry to artificially increase consistency. Granoro prefers to choose high quality from the start. After the initial phase of washing with drinking water and before being peeled and canned, our tomatoes are subject to two types of selection: optical, through the use of so-called “optical” readers, who reject tomatoes with black, green or yellow spots; the other selection is manual, and the tomatoes are examined one by one by the staff who therefore carry out a second sorting. The possible presence of the skin should not be considered a defect, as it is a consequence of the use of the natural scalding process, which favors the separation of the skin.
