SPAGHETTI ALLA CHITARRA
Private import from Michele Portoghese in the Tuscany region of Italy
The company was founded in the 1970s, after years of research and systematic studies on typical Italian food products, their shapes, packaging, names and communication system. Over time, the company has grown without forgetting respect for processing methods, some of which are still entirely manual.
Originally from Abruzzo, Spaghetti alla Chitarra are a long format with a square section. Historically, pasta was cut with a tool called a "chitarra", consisting of a wooden frame on which thin steel wires were stretched. The typical condiment to pair with this format is a meat sauce or tomato sauce enriched with meatballs. Spaghetti alla Chitarra is also excellent with tomato and eggplant based sauces.
